Ice Hockey in general
Ice Hockey is one of the greatest but also hardest games ever. In an ice rink you can play it at anytime.You just go to the ice rink order some ice-skates in your size and skate. Each team consists of six players. They have to shoot the puck in the opposite net. One player is the goaltender, he tries to stop the puck. The ice rink is 60m long and 30m wide.--Olivier. The professional game
To watch a professional live match is amazing. Also on TV it's great. The best teams are Canada, Russia, Sweden and of course Germany. Each team has a heraldic figure. Maybe you know the heraldic figure of Cologne, it's the shark. The game consists of three thirds and each team has six players on the ice. If you like Ice Hockey come to the match between the Cologne Sharks and Saginaw Spirit on 7th November in the Lanxess Arena at 9 o'clock.

The Kontinental Hockey league is the biggest Ice Hockey League of Russia and their neighboring states.It compete 24 teams.The Abbreviation is KHL and the website is The Kontinental Hockey League.Salawat Julajew Ufa is the title maker and AK Bars Kasan is the team who is record master.

The International Ice Hockey Federation
The International Ice Hockey Federation(IIHF) has 70 group members. Its incumbent president is Rene Fasel. The IIHF makes a world ranking after every olympic ice hockey tournament which is very important. Canada was held as the perenial leaders at the IIHF World Championship 2008. The residence is in Zurich, Switzerland.
